CoreWoman Empowers women by developing the skills and capabilities necessary to succeed in high school, college, as leaders in business and as entrepreneurs.

PROGRAMS

We support teenage girls in middle and high school to create a life and career plan and make better college decisions. We develop incentives so that more women study Science Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs

HOW DO WE WORK

Career orientation, access to information and access to practical knowledge, particularly in STEM, can bring more women into highly paid positions and reduce the gender gap.

To reduce the gender pay gap we can improve women’s transition into their first job, develop a career plan and leadership aspirations by:

  • Developing leadership skills, achievement orientation, empathy and self-confidence
  • Improving body language, networking / interviewing and salary negotiation skills
  • Offering mentorship programs for career planning.

Susana Martinez Restrepo

Susana Martinez Restrepo

Managing Partner and Director of Research and Development

Susana holds a Ph.D. in Economics of Education from Columbia University in the city of New York and brings more than eight years of applied research, teaching and program development experience to the table. Her expertise deals with education and labor market policies, gender equality and women’s empowerment. She has wide experience working and consulting for governments, foundations and international organizations.

Her passion for gender equality reflects her experience working in developing countries where she has seen firsthand how cultural norms and lack of education and job opportunities create important gender gaps, particularly for low-income women.

Diana Franco

Diana Franco

Founding partner and Director of Business Operations

Diana brings a wide experience in a diverse range of corporate and technology driven environments, being integrally involved in finance, business development, operations and marketing.

Her passion for gender equality reflects her experience as a serial entrepreneur. She is a founding-member of multiple tech ventures, establishing and leading global business units emphasizing mobile technology, internet presence, and social media shopping, where few women sit at the negotiating table.

Maria Eugenia Anes

Founding partner and Director of Sales and Marketing

Maria Eugenia brings over 17 years of corporate experience in marketing, sales and customer service positions in countries such as Venezuela, Mexico, Spain and Colombia, focusing primarily in the Latin American market.

Her work and passion for gender equality reflects her experience as a woman climbing up the corporate ladder negotiating her leadership role with women and men as well as her commitment to the community, especially with women willing to join and climb into the corporate world and low-income women willing to develop business skills to grow their own businesses.
